Wow. Just wow. The neoclassical design of Amanda is so elegant. Every corner of the ship is a photo spot. I took like 500 photos in 2 days lol. The bathtub in the cabin is everything pure luxury. The crew are the real MVPs though, always smiling and making sure you have everything. Totally worth the money.
Decided to treat myself and book a luxury cabin on Amanda. No regrets man! The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. I spent most of my time on the sundeck with a beer. Didnt catch any squid during the night fishing lol, but the vibe was great anyway. The staff r super friendly, they even remembered my name. If u want luxury without feeling too "stiff," this is the one.
If u want to chill, this is it. That herbal foot soak (Foot of Heritage) at sunset is a game changer. My feet were dead after kayaking but that soak brought me back to life. Food was way better than I expected for a cruise proper 5-star stuff. Didn’t catch any squid at night (pretty sure they were laughing at me), but the Sky Bar vibes were 11/10.
If you're doing Ha Long, go with Amanda. We did the 3D2N route and visiting Cua Van Fishing Village was a real eye-opener. So peaceful. Kayaking through Luon Cave was another peak moment. The boat itself is super stable—didn't feel seasick at all. The crew works so hard to make sure everyone is having a blast. Shoutout to the bartender for the best signature cocktails at the Sky Bar!
Best part of our Vietnam trip! The Bamboo Dance on the sundeck is a MUST. We were so bad at it but it was hilarious. The ship has this classy French vibe, and our room was spotless. Waking up to that bay view... man, it’s like a movie. The staff even surprised us with a small cake for our anniversary. So grateful!
As an interior designer, I was captivated by the French Neoclassical vibes of Amanda Halong Cruise. The gold-inlaid details and dark wood in the cabins are stunning. We stayed in the Senior Suite on the 3rd floor having a private balcony and a bathtub overlooking the bay was pure bliss. Only minor issue was the Wi-Fi being a bit spotty in remote areas, but hey, you’re in the middle of a World Heritage site!
Honestly, I’m the world’s worst cook, so the cooking class on the sundeck was a comedy show. My spring rolls looked like burritos, but the chef was so sweet and kept cheering me on lol. Amanda Halong Cruise is huge and super stable I usually get seasick but didn’t feel a thing here. Spent most of the night "fishing" for squid but mostly just drinking cocktails and chatting. 10/10 for the lovely crew!

NewZealandBest cruise ever! Waking up at 6 AM for Tai Chi on the sundeck of Amanda was the highlight of my month. Watching the sun come up over those limestone rocks in silence... magic. The boat is very environmentally conscious compared to others I saw. Cabins are spotless and the large windows mean you never miss the view. Highly recommend the kayaking excursion to Luon Cave!
