Guests who have arranged shuttle service will be collected from their hotels in Hanoi’s Old Quarter for the trip to Halong - Lan Ha Bay.

12:00 | Boarding the Cruise
After arriving at the harbor, you’ll be transferred by tender to board the Le Journey Luxury Cruise. A warm welcome awaits you along with a refreshing welcome drink. The cruise manager will conduct a short safety briefing and introduction before you check into your cabin.
13:15 | Lunch Onboard
As the cruise begins its voyage through the majestic scenery of Halong Bay, a delicious lunch will be served. The journey continues into the quieter, less-traveled waters of Halong Wonder. Along the way, admire iconic limestone formations like Finger Islet and Candle Islet.

You’ll head to the Tra Bau area, where you can kayak or swim among peaceful surroundings. This area also served as a filming site for the movie “Kong: Skull Island” released in 2018.

07:15 | Transfer to Quan Y Cave
A tender will take you to Gia Luan Port, followed by a short car ride (about 20 minutes) to visit Quan Y Cave.
08:00 | Explore Quan Y Cave
This historic site once served as a secret wartime hospital hidden inside a limestone mountain. It was fully outfitted with treatment rooms, a recovery area, and even a cinema for wounded soldiers during the resistance war.
09:00 | Return for Check-out
Head back to the Lan Ha Bay Cruise, complete check-out procedures, and return your room key to reception.
09:45 | Brunch and Scenic Cruise
Enjoy a delicious brunch while the cruise sails back toward the harbor, passing more dramatic karst formations on the way.
10:30 – 11:30 | Disembark at Tuan Chau – Return to Hanoi
Travel back to Hanoi by highway. If you’ve booked the shuttle service, you will be dropped off at your hotel in the Old Quarter between 15:00 and 16:00.

I joined this cruise by myself and never felt lonely. The cooking class was a fun way to meet other travelers. The views from the sundeck were incredible, especially in the early morning with a cup of tea in hand.
We did the 2D1N cruise as a family of four. Our teenage kids enjoyed kayaking and trying squid fishing at night. The rooms were clean and surprisingly spacious. The food was good, especially the dinner.
A few of us booked the 3-day cruise and had such a blast. Karaoke night was hilarious and the Ba Trai Dao beach stop was our favorite. Everything was organized but still relaxing — no stress at all.
From start to finish, the Le Journey Luxury team made sure we were taken care of. Halal options were available when requested in advance. The kayaking in Tra Bau was very peaceful, and we loved watching the stars at night.
I didn’t know what to expect but this was the perfect short break. No phones, no emails, just the sound of water and limestone cliffs. The visit to Quan Y Cave was more emotional than I thought. A meaningful part of the trip.
I had only heard of Halong Bay before, but Lan Ha was just as stunning and way less crowded. We had a great guide who shared stories along the way. The ship felt new, and the rooms were spotless.
We did the 2-day cruise with my parents and it was a smooth ride. The pace was easy for older guests and the crew helped us with everything. They even brought ginger tea to my mum when she felt a bit seasick.
We joined the Viet Hai Village program and enjoyed the biking part. It felt like a hidden part of Vietnam. The cooking class later that evening was fun, and the spring rolls we made were surprisingly tasty!
I’m not usually a cruise person, but this was different. It was slow-paced and calm, and the views were unreal. I spent most of the time on the balcony or sundeck just watching the cliffs float by.
The cabin was stylish, and the staff were always checking in on us. We liked the morning Tai Chi and the peaceful cruise back during brunch. A good option if you want something fancy but still laid-back.
Everything was where it needed to be: clean cabin, great food, kind staff. The Quan Y Cave was interesting and gave us a new perspective on Vietnamese history. A few drinks at sunset made it even better.
We were celebrating our anniversary and Le Journey Luxury made it very special. Rose petals, wine, and a private dinner table near the window. The cruise route through Lan Ha Bay was scenic and peaceful the entire time.
I travel a lot for work, and this cruise felt like a reset. No meetings, no rush, just clean air and good food. I especially appreciated the calm kayaking time and the sunset view from the top deck.
I only had one night to spare but the cruise packed a lot into it. Swimming, cooking class, sunset drinks, and a lovely dinner. I wish I had time to do the full 3D2N itinerary.
