This was honestly the easiest big day in Vietnam. Once you’re on the boat, you just follow the plan and relax. Tra Bau swim was my favorite, clean water and calm vibes. Sunset party was simple but nice, and the cooking class was fun without dragging on. Quan Y Cave was a cool surprise stop. Staff were friendly and the cabin was comfy. I’d book Amanda again for sure.
Did Amanda Luxury Cruise and it was honestly a great call. The tender transfer took a while, but we were just taking pics so it was fine. Lunch started and the views were already crazy. Tra Bau was the best part, easy kayak, quick swim, super calm water. Sunset on the sundeck with tea/coffee was peak chill. Slept like a rock because it anchored somewhere really quiet.
I don’t like trips where you just sit around, so this worked for me. Kayak and swim at Tra Bau, then straight into the spring roll class. The cooking thing wasn’t awkward at all, it was actually fun and we ate everything. Dinner on the deck was nice and breezy because weather was good. Tried squid fishing later and caught nothing, but we laughed a lot. Overall, Amanda felt smooth and well planned.
We wanted comfort and no stress, and Amanda delivered. Cabin was clean, bed was comfy, and there was fruit waiting. Lan Ha Bay is way calmer than I expected, super pretty. Tra Bau swim was my highlight, I could’ve stayed there longer. Happy hour was a nice bonus because drinks add up fast. Dinner felt special but still relaxed, not super formal.
The second day stop at Quan Y Cave was way more interesting than I thought. It’s not just a cave, it has actual rooms and history, kind of wild. Tai Chi in the morning was chill, nobody cares if you’re doing it wrong. Food was solid, nothing fancy but tasty. Staff were friendly and kept the timing easy. Good trip if you want Lan Ha Bay plus something different.
Went with my partner and it was exactly what we wanted. We got lucky with weather so dinner on the sundeck was super nice. Tra Bau kayaking was easy, even for us with zero experience. The sunset tea/coffee moment was the best, just sitting and doing nothing. Room was quiet at night and the boat stayed in a calm area. Honestly didn’t want to get off the next day.
I’m not a morning guy but I woke up for sunrise and yeah, worth it. Tai Chi after that was relaxing, not intense or anything. Quan Y Cave was cooler than I expected, it’s like a hidden hospital inside the mountain. The early buffet lunch saved me because I was starving by then. Check-out was quick and smooth. Overall, Amanda felt like good value for a 5-star cruise.

The Dragon’s Eye lagoon was super cool and quiet. Ba Trai Dao Beach was gorgeous and the water was so clear. Evenings back on Amanda were chill with sunset time and food.
