Bai Tu Long Bay - Prince Junk on a curated 2-day voyage

We chartered the whole boat (only 4 cabins so perfect for our family group). Honestly, escaping the massive steel mega-ships to sail into Bai Tu Long Bay was the best decision. So quiet and peacefull!! Kids loved kayaking around the caves and the staff were absolute legends. On the way back to Hanoi we stopped at Yen Duc village for a water puppet show - super charming cultural experience. Highly reccomend if u want privacy!

Chose the 3D2N itinerary because we wanted a slower pace. Best choice ever. Kayaking in Cap La area felt like we owned the bay, barely saw any other tourist boats. The detour to Yen Duc agricultural village on the final day was a lovely touch walking through emerald rice fields and breathing crisp country air after the cruise. Perfect.

Everything was amazinggg. Watching the sunset from the sundeck with a cocktail was pure bliss. Cabin handcrafted from teak wood looks very heritage and clean, hot water in shower was perfect. The cooking class on deck was super fun. If u want a quiet cruise in Bai Tu Long Bay, just book this one!

We decided to book all 4 cabins of Prince Junk for a private family getaway (grandparents, parents, and two teenagers), and it was the absolute best decision of our entire Vietnam holiday. Having the whole traditional wooden vessel to ourselves meant we could customize the pace of our 2D1N itinerary. The sundeck became our personal oasis where we spent hours sunbathing, chatting, and watching the incredible crimson sunset over the emerald waters. The kids absolutely loved the interactive cooking demonstration on deck where the chef showed us how to make traditional Banh Xeo, and the evening squid fishing was a massive hit (even though we didn’t catch a single thing, the laughs we shared were worth it!). Every single room was spotless, featuring lovely bronze details, individual A/C, and excellent hot water pressure in the separate glass showers. From the moment we were picked up in Hanoi by the luxury van to the final drop-off, Halong Bay Cruises and the Prince Junk crew looked after us flawlessly. If you are traveling as a small group or family, don’t look anywhere else, this is the one.

We had a wonderful 3D2N experience aboard Prince Junk, all thanks to the brilliant recommendation from Robert at Halong Bay Cruises. The private beach BBQ at Cong Do was spectacular sitting on the white sand with freshly grilled food surrounded by towering limestone cliffs was unforgettable. Robert looked after every detail of our itinerary with great professionalism. The only minor point is the spotty Wi-Fi on the water, but it was actually nice to disconnect. Bai Tu Long Bay is so much quieter and more pristine than Halong Bay. We spent hours chilling on the sundeck and watching the sunset. The private tender boat took us to some hidden lagoons where we had the whole place to ourselves for kayaking. The crew onboard were amazing, but a huge shoutout to Robert for setting this all up for us. 10/10 service!

The boat itself has so much character beautiful traditional woodwork and only 4 cabins, so you get to know the other guests easily without feeling crowded. Cruising through the limestone islands of Bai Tu Long Bay was surreal, so quiet and peaceful. Kayaking around Cap La and visiting the Vung Vieng village by bamboo boat were unforgettable. Food onboard was massive, way too much fresh seafood for one person but so delicious! Defenitely book through Anna if you want a hassle-free solo trip to the bay. 10/10!!
