This 2-day Sapa tour from Hanoi is designed for travellers who want to see Sapa at its most beautiful and photogenic without spending two days trekking. Day 1 brings you to Cat Cat village — a Black H'mong community nestled below Fansipan Peak — for a gentle 2-hour valley walk through local culture, traditional craft, and a beautiful waterfall.
Day 2 takes you to Moana View, just 700m from Sapa Church: seven stunning photo spots including the iconic Infinity Lake (which reflects Fansipan Peak on calm mornings), the Bali Gate, Golden Hand, thrilling swing, and the panoramic café with the best Fansipan view in Sapa.
One comfortable hotel night, all meals, entrance tickets, and an expert English-speaking guide are included. The early 8 am start at Moana View is deliberate — the Infinity Lake reflection and morning light are at their best before the crowds arrive.
06:00–06:30: Welcome at Hanoi bus station or hotel pick-up in the Old Quarter. Board the sleeping bus and depart north toward Lao Cai.
07:30–11:45: Travel northwest along the expressway to Lao Cai City with one comfort break en route.
11:45–13:00: The bus climbs from Lao Cai up the mountain road to Sapa. Terraced hillsides, cloud-filled valleys, and the first dramatic views of the highland landscape appear through the windows.
13:00–13:30: Arrive Sapa Town — a highland market town at 1,600m, alive with the colourful traditional dress of H'mong, Dzao, and Tay ethnic communities. Welcome drink and tour briefing. Lunch with local Vietnamese dishes. Hotel check-in.
14:30: Walk to the entrance of Cat Cat village — a Black H'mong community in the valley at the foot of Fansipan Peak. Your guide introduces you to local weaving, silversmithing, and mountain farming traditions. Trek down to the valley floor and the waterfall, stopping at the ruins of the French-era hydroelectric station. Scenic uphill walk back as the afternoon light catches the terraced hillsides. The driver picks up at the top. Trek: ~2.5 km · ~2 hours
17:00: Return to Sapa Town. Free time before dinner. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.
