Depart Hanoi at night. Wake up in Sapa. Two full days of experiences.
This 2-night Sapa tour from Hanoi uses the overnight bus format to eliminate wasted travel time — you depart Hanoi at 21:30, sleep on the comfortable sleeping bus, and arrive in Sapa by early morning, ready to begin a full Day 1. The result: two complete days of activities without losing a single daytime hour to travel.
Day 1 is the headline act: Fansipan Peak by cable car in the morning (3,143m — the Roof of Indochina), followed by a gentle cultural afternoon at Cat Cat village.
Day 2 gives you a genuine choice — the photogenic Moana View (Infinity Lake, seven iconic photo spots, panoramic café) or a nature hike up Ham Rong Mountain (botanical gardens, orchid paths, panoramic summit). Both Day 2 options are included in the tour price. The only additional purchase is the Fansipan cable car ticket (~850,000 VND / ~$34 USD).
21:30–21:45: Welcome at Hanoi bus station. Board the sleeping bus and depart north toward Lao Cai and Sapa. Settle in — earplugs, eye mask, and a light layer recommended. The Noi Bai–Lao Cai Expressway is smooth for most of the journey. Overnight on the bus.
~05:30–06:00: Arrive at Sapa bus station. The guide meets you and transfers you directly to the hotel.

06:00–07:30: Arrive at hotel. Check in bags. Breakfast at the hotel on arrival.
08:00: Guide and driver take you to the Sun World Fansipan Legend cable car station (~10 min). Purchase a cable car return ticket at the station (~850,000 VND / ~$34 USD). Board the cable car for the 20-minute ascent from 1,600m to 2,800m — extraordinary aerial views of Sapa valley and Hoang Lien Son range.
09:00–11:00: Explore the Fansipan summit: climb ~600 steps to the peak at 3,143m (optional — the 2,800m platform views are also extraordinary), visit Bao Nha Pagoda, photograph the summit markers and panorama. Allow 1.5 hours.
11:30: Return by cable car to Sapa Town.
12:00: Lunch. Hotel room check-in (full room access from noon).
14:30: Short drive to Cat Cat village gate. Walk down through the Black H'mong community to the waterfall and French hydroelectric station ruins, then back uphill in late afternoon light. The driver picks up at the top. Trek: ~2.5 km · ~2 hours
17:00: Return to Sapa Town. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

OPTION A — MOANA VIEW: Short walk (700m from Sapa Church) to Moana View. Explore all seven photo spots at your own pace — Infinity Lake, Bali Gate, Moana Girl Statue, Golden Hand, swing, Lonely Tree, and panoramic café. Early arrival at 8 am gives the best Infinity Lake reflection and the smallest crowds. Entrance included.
OPTION B — HAM RONG MOUNTAIN: Begin the cobblestone climb up Dragon's Jaw Mountain from Sapa Town. Walk through botanical gardens with orchids and flowering beds, past quirky statues, to the panoramic summit with a full view of Sapa Town and the surrounding mountains. Strenuous but rewarding. Entrance included. Note: steps can be slippery when wet.
11:00: Return to the hotel. Check out. Time at leisure to browse the Sapa market or visit a café.
12:00: Lunch in Sapa.
13:00–14:00: Board the bus for the return journey to Hanoi with comfort breaks.
